::fairy tales and basset hounds::

So we're moving on to the children's bedroom and are thinking of a theme that will go easily with boys and girls since the squidlees will be sharing for a few years at least. We thought of a general fairy tale (castles, princess, dragons, fairies) theme. Lo and behold IKEA has the very pieces we'll need. Paint a mock castle on the wall, throw in a few make believe toys and voila. Really happy about this.

GWC : totally wasted my no-complaint points on something piddley but did do well with a favorite meal and letting him nap during what is usually "Daddy and Luke time". So feeling quite average but there's always tomorrow. Let's see some total scores for this week gals. I've got to figure mine but am sure it's quite low compared to what I've been hearing (see, that's why I wanted to do this challenge). Rob will be traveling abroad next week so I'll be doing the GWC long-distance. Might make for an interesting challenge.

Do Basset Hounds always like constantly bark their brains out?

Love the fairy tale theme...So many cool ways to do that...

GWC points...I have to total mine up...but I complained YESTERDAY and mightily! ugh...Today...I've been much better. HA!

And yes, Bassett Hounds LOVE to bark and howl and do all other sorts of noises...I think that because their ears flop down over the actual opening for sound, they are not aware of how much RACKET they make! HA!

you've probably already done this but maybe it's been awhile....maybe pack some really "sweet" notes in his bags since the king's gonna be away this week.

thanks for all the wonderful ideas on your blog, i'm just beginning to sort thru all the great things you've made available.

Fairy tale theme is brilliant! Girls love being princesses (and maybe we can teach them to be ladies, oy!) and it's a good way to teach boys to be chivalrous.

Had a spat with dh today. Sheesh! We rarely do, but the one month I'm actually TRYING to be nice and we get into it. In the car after church, no less! Well, I did agree to let him cook barbeque AGAIN so maybe I get some brownie points for that.

You would never find a basset hound in any of MY fairy tales, and hopefully NEVER in my real life castle either...but they are kinda cute.

The room sounds delightful...we love IKEA too..fun pieces at reasonable prices...now if only they would open one here in our State!! Happy decorating!

re: GWC...my total's would only be about 150 - :( I did surprise my honey with a candlelight LUNCH on Friday (since we was working from home)...and my littlest was over a friend's house...so "I" was the dessert..not as yummy as I once was...but he loved it anyway :)

Thanks again for this challenge Gina...I realize I complain more than I would like to admit, because just as I am about to open my mouth I think GWC!!!

Can't wait to have our own house! I have so many ideas for my kids rooms!

GWC..decided not to keep points..but thinking it would help me see how I really am doing. I think I am doing good, but this has never been a hard area for me. Complaining has been very minimal. Doing lots of nice things for him.

The fairy tale BR sounds wonderful! Yes, basset hounds bark horribly! and I think I have 150 points...I'm sorry to say thats really kinda low but I'm not doing very much complaining these days(miracles do happen) so I always get those..:) Just not big on the random acts...You should have a good week with Rob away....Long distance niceness is always easier that the up-close kind. lOL
Kimber is really making this thing work for her isn't she?? haha

I'm also not keeping score. AND I'm realizing how much I DO complain. I guess that's good.
