::a purple and green halloween::

Hullabaloo was a blast - complete with petting zoo and bouncy houses galore. Costume contest, candy and more candy. All free for the community sponsored by our church. Really neat to see kids whose parents probably struggled to buy their costumes laughing thier little selves silly.

At our marriage class last night Rob and I learned a three minute end of the day routine: (Facing one another, knee to knee)
Affirmation "I appreciated it today when you..." or Thank you for..."
Affection - A hug, kiss, or gentle touch.
Apology - "Is there any way I irritated, frustrated or hurt you today?"
Ask - "Is there anything you would like me to do for you today, tomorrow, this week?"
Amen - Close in a quick prayer together

To her stuffed animals and dolls upon picking them up Leila now says, "Hi, Leila". (In her best stuffed elephant voice.)

Oh Drea, these were cheapies too!! Only the cheapest for my sweeties. One night of frolicking with the goolies, pawing chocolate pieces and expensive costumes doesn't make for a good combo! : )

thats awesome. Leilas looks really expensive especially!
We have some friends who go all out and get hand made costumes. They do end up looking very cute... but I just dont see the point :-)
Hence the reason I went as a clown HAHA

But I guess if I had pleanty of money like them ... I may would do something more.

Oh and is this marriage class just for perks? Hope you all are doing okay :-)
I think its good to appreciate your hubby and vs.
but sometimes if it gets to "reheresed..." it seems fake.

I love the costumes...

The marriage ritual sounds interesting - I can see that it could be very meaningful and a good way of reconnecting... which is not always easy to do in our busy lives.

what cutie pies :)

marriage questions sound like they could lead to great conversations, but maybe on a weekly or monthly basis?? Although getting praise everyday could be fun :)
