Mickie's Banana Pudding

I was craving the banana pudding my grandma used to make and with one bite I was magically transported to the backseat of Grandpa's Thunderbird.
I could smell the leather seats.
I could see Grandma's large-knuckled-ringed fingers resting on her white pants and Grandpa in his fishing hat.
We were crossing the Cooper River Bridge into Charleston for a picnic of cold fried chicken and tomato sandwiches on the Battery.

YUMMO!!!

I must admit I never understood banana pudding until I moved to the South. Iced Tea, banana pudding and bbq...all things I never understood until I moved to the south. Californian's just dont' know what they are missing, do they? :-)

Love love love Charleston. We honeymooned there at a B&B on Meeting Street (2 Meeting Street Inn) right on the Battery. My husband went to school at the Citadel.

Don't you know I love some banana pudding! The baked not instant kind.
