Thankful for

a scrumptious man who wins, hands down, in the fathering department. I can call him mine.
two chubby-cheeked, big-eyed children.
the excitement of looking forward to meeting our third in February (kicking with enthusiasm today).
a house, a home.
a family who loves me. No rifts or arguments.
a moving, growing church.
living close to the beach.

living in an area where you can order the a tasty Vietnamese soup, the most deletable Thai curry or Mediterranean fare...whatever suits your mood.
Wednesday morning Nurture.
Thursday morning CBS.
the ability to read, more books than I could ever read in a lifetime at the sweet local library.
the autism support group that we started and the potential for refreshment and hope it can bring.
living in a era when autism isn't a life-sentence but one in which there is an abundance of possibilities.

the real estate investment club and the equity share possibilities.
digital cameras.
seasonal produce.
see-saws.

and more.

Obsessions of Late

  • A little equity share learning. How to invest with a equity share partner. Very exciting.
  • Digital scraping (yesterday it was the video project, tomorrow it will probably be photography).
  • Saving to build up capital for formerly mentioned equity sharing.
  • Preserving my sanity and giving myself rewards/reinforcements for reaching goals (scrumptious goodies like finding a good handyman, a GPS system, a laptop and a home foot spa.)
Negotiating the entrance fee to the Kangaroo Climb House:
Leila, on setting goals: "Don't just run! Chase!"
She's into concoctions recently. Her entire mom's club class was served"olives, bagels and potatoes".

Martha's Favorite Bow:

  • Learning about Equity Sharing this Saturday with my real estate investment group. I'm excited about this option.
  • Mom's Club outing this morning here. Lots of energy expended meant a naps on the way home.
  • Crazy chickens. Fun Jewelry.

Random Seven

I was tagged by my good friend (and closet rock star as it turns out!) Felicia.
So seven little bits about me...
  1. My elementary school was so small that there was only one boy in my sixth grade class. (My sister went to the same school and was the only girl in her fifth grade class.)
  2. I wore brown almost an entire year of high school.
  3. I was in a sorority in high school if you can imagine such a thing. It was called ATZ (Alpha Tau Zeta). I resigned because I refused to clear the senior's lunch tray's as was expected of the "bunnies".
  4. My high school Latin teacher remains my best teacher of all time.
  5. I've lived in South Carolina, Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina a second time, Texas and now we live in California.
  6. I didn't like to play with dolls or Barbie's as a little girl.
  7. When I was ten I had a silky blue jacket with pink sleeves and a roller skate decal on the front.
Leila had this to say about names:
(we'd been mulling over the names "Micah", "Oliver" and "Adam")
"I like Micheal, I like olive and I like Adam and Eve. But I like apple juice better."

Have a good weekend!
